When he came we asked “what are your interests”
He asked, “what does it mean?”
We asked, “what do you like doing?”
He said, “Matlab (meaning)?”
We asked, “what you do at home?”
He smiled “watch TV and play video games on my tab”
We got hopeful and asked and …
He said, “that’s all”.

Often asked what if a child does not know what he/ she likes?
Here is a small story

After a couple of weeks spent at the campus, one child with tears and anger expressed "I don't know what I want to learn".
The conversation was full of " I can't do this because...I know I am not good at this...I can never do this for sure...."

My journey of drumming  - As a group, we started on the drum pad practicing whole note, half note, quarter note, and eighth note for two days with the metronome, which was slow and increasing the speed. At that time I was wishing to play on the drums and try the sixteenth note. Finally, we got on to the drums it was hard than I expected the coordination was important, starting with just the snare drum and the bass drum to get the coordination going it was a bit tricky to coordinate the leg and the hand, slowly adding the high hat to get used to it. At that time my wish was to play fills. Understanding the notation was not that hard it was simple

How do you discover yourself - it’s simple ‘bit by bit’! Each term we connect with our dreams, we make plans of what all we want to do, we connect with self ‘what desires we have. While making term planning we often do not think or rather stop at ‘will I be able to do?’. Often it is ‘what all I feel like doing.

As we start working during the term, we do miss our marks, we do change our planning, we do add more to our planning and we do leave things. But we still dream!
