A policewoman came as a guest to an elementary school and was making a small speech on Safety etc when she was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old.
She asked, "Are you a cop?"
"Yes," came the answer,
"My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?"
"Yes, that's right,"
"Well, then," she said, extending her foot toward the police officer, "would you please tie my shoe?"
Children are naturally Self-Directed. They make their own connections and are constantly thinking about how they can fulfill their needs.
Remember, you too are a self-directed learner.
